It's been a long but successful week!
I was able to get back in my classroom on Monday. The janitor was able to help put the furniture back where it goes. Our school has a before-care, after-care, and summer-care program for our students, so one of the students who will be in my class this next year was at school on Monday. She was able to help me re-arrange several things in the room. I hope it will help me stay more organized this year. I learned a little more about her, too. I even ordered a book for the classroom library for her.
Tuesday I was busy running family errands which I had put off at the end of the school year.
Wednesday I went to the local Amish community and was able to pick up some things which will appear on a later version of Made-It-Monday. Then on to school, where I was able to get several answers from my terrific principal about how she wants things to proceed.
Thursday I got some rest and made a to-do list! WOW!
Friday, was the day to hit the garage sales and thrift stores. I have some terrific finds, including another bookshelf because my classroom library is quickly outgrowing the shelving. I already had. I also found a small recliner for $25. This will be an earned privilege for ClassDojo points.
I should have the room finished including the new reading corner in a couple of weeks. I'll be sure to post the pictures.
So how much do you attempt to get done over the summer? Do you ever finish your summer to do list?
